You'd have to purchase thousands of drum books to even come close to the content in this library, and since they're all midi, you can hear the rhythm instantly with any MIDI instrument you have. No paper book could ever do that!
Born into a family of drummers, Brooks Wackerman was predestined to become the drumming powerhouse he is today. Tutored by his father Chuck Wackerman in the Los Alamitos High School jazz band and in middle school he learned to play at a very young age. The youngest brother of drummers Chad (Frank Zappa) and John, Brooks began studying drumming at age 7 with Chuck Flores and Murray Spivak.
Native Instruments Studio Drummer features samples recorded on premium drum kits. The library focuses on incorporating an acoustic drum kit into your track along with mixing options and a large library of grooves with fills complementing styles including funk, rock, blues, indie and country.
The drum samples were performed by professional drummer Derico Watson and produced by Grammy-winning producer, Kenny Barto. The library contains 5.26GB of content featuring 60 sound presets, 90 grooves with 10 variations each, with 58 acoustic samples and 80 electronic layering sounds.
In the mid-90s (1995, 1996, and 1997) Yamaha produced a number of very excellent XG midi files, which were provided as an XG Midi Library for PSR740 owners. The Yamaha site with this XG Midi library is no longer available on the internet. Thanks to Onacimus Sahayan, however, we can provide you with many of these original XG midi files.
